Bespoke watercolour wedding stationery for a Yorkshire wedding

This bespoke watercolour wedding stationery has to be one of my favourite orders to date!

My bride wanted to use my Romeo and Juliet watercolour design but give it a green watercolour wash to look almost like hills for their wedding at Falcon Manor. She also asked me to paint a collection of Yorkshire scenes, some of which were very familiar to me! These were to be used for the table names and the table plan.

Having lived in Yorkshire for 20 years before I disappeared off to university it was lovely to have the opportunity to paint some local landmarks for their bespoke watercolour wedding stationery. Especially the Skipton image with the barge on the canal, I used to walk over this section of the canal most days to get to and from the train station to school!

I was very pleased with how the paintings came out and they looked great all together on the table plan. I also created these lovely handmade place settings which also double up as a bookmark for guests to use! Each place setting was painted with a wash of watercolour to match the rest of the stationery then finished with gold calligraphy and deep emerald green tassels. The menus also had gold calligraphy added to the top to tie everything together.

I think painting venues and scenes is fast becoming my favourite part of my job. I really enjoy creating such bespoke wedding stationery that feels very personal to the bride and groom. If you would like to add a watercolour illustration to your wedding stationery and or have some completely bespoke watercolour wedding stationery then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Calligraphy Wedding Place Cards

Introducing my new calligraphy wedding place cards!! It’s been a busy few months – especially with Christmas all those weeks ago! I’ve been spending any free time practising my calligraphy and working on some new products to add to my offering.

Handmade paper wedding place cards!

I found some lovely Khadi papers in lovely greys and off white. They have a nice weight to them and work really well for place cards. The textures are amazing – although not always that easy to write on with a dip pen! I like my wedding stationery to have a tactile quality and I think my new handmade items are that extra bit special. You can choose from a range of handmade papers or simple smooth cards and also the size and shape of your place cards, whether you have ribbon or string and what ink you would like on them. The possibilities are endless!

The simple off white khadi paper looks very pretty with a bronze coloured metallic ink and velvet ribbon, very luxurious. Or you could simply go monotone with blank Indian ink on white paper.

These could also be tent cards if you would rather go for a more traditional look.

Gold dipped wedding place cards!

These calligraphy place setting cards are simple and bold. I really like the thick gold paint along the edge and looks lovely with either clean cut edges or the torn / deckle edges. You could choose a different colour for the dip and maybe even a contrast colour for the names.

The pricing for these handmade wedding place cards ranges from £1 to £2 depending on the finish and quantity. Please contact me for a quote and to find out more.
