Calligraphy Wedding Place Cards

Introducing my new calligraphy wedding place cards!! It’s been a busy few months – especially with Christmas all those weeks ago! I’ve been spending any free time practising my calligraphy and working on some new products to add to my offering.

Handmade paper wedding place cards!

I found some lovely Khadi papers in lovely greys and off white. They have a nice weight to them and work really well for place cards. The textures are amazing – although not always that easy to write on with a dip pen! I like my wedding stationery to have a tactile quality and I think my new handmade items are that extra bit special. You can choose from a range of handmade papers or simple smooth cards and also the size and shape of your place cards, whether you have ribbon or string and what ink you would like on them. The possibilities are endless!

The simple off white khadi paper looks very pretty with a bronze coloured metallic ink and velvet ribbon, very luxurious. Or you could simply go monotone with blank Indian ink on white paper.

These could also be tent cards if you would rather go for a more traditional look.

Gold dipped wedding place cards!

These calligraphy place setting cards are simple and bold. I really like the thick gold paint along the edge and looks lovely with either clean cut edges or the torn / deckle edges. You could choose a different colour for the dip and maybe even a contrast colour for the names.

The pricing for these handmade wedding place cards ranges from £1 to £2 depending on the finish and quantity. Please contact me for a quote and to find out more.

Art Nouveau Style Wedding Invitation

One of my recent bespoke designs was for a couple who wanted an Art Nouveau style wedding with invitations to match. It was an exciting challenge to take on as it’s quite a detailed and very distinctive style. I have to admit I was quite nervous sending over the initial proof as it took a lot of time and work to get the style right but thankfully my bride loved it.

Art Nouveau is a style of decorative art from the late 1800s, early 1900s and was inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly the curved lines of plants and flowers. It’s a lovely style for a wedding and the colours and details can be used throughout the ‘look’, from Art Nouveau style tableware to vintage styled wedding dresses.

I was very pleased with the final design for this invitation as it uses the Art Nouveau style but doesn’t look too cluttered. The illustration frames the main content of the invitation very nicely and the rounded corners of the invitation really add to the styling.

If you are interested in having your own bespoke wedding stationery in this styling or similar then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
