Modern Calligraphy and Watercolour Place Settings

I’ve recently been working on some more ‘handmade’ products to add to my stationery collection. I’m really enjoying doing calligraphy and also being able to put my watercolour skills to use so I’ve been trying out these calligraphy place settings.

These new place setting cards are made with a lovely heavy weight watercolour paper with simple torn edges. I have added various washes of colour to the background and then added calligraphy. I think it gives a lovely simple and tactile finish and can be customised to suit many different wedding ‘themes’.

For the above folded cards I did two washes of colour and I think it worked really nicely, the first was a wash of very light grey then finished with a stripe of aqua / blue. The gold metallic ink finishes it off beautifully.

You can choose whether you want folded calligraphy place settings, flat cards and cards with string or ribbon tied to them. You can then choose the colour for the watercolour wash and the colour of the calligraphy. I’m slowly building up my stock of inks and I have some lovely colours including various metallics. Anything I don’t already have I can probably find!

I can also do eyelet holes or simple punched holes to add the ribbon or string.

The pricing for place settings will depend on the finish but will probably range from £1-£1.50 each. Please contact me if you are interested in a quote for calligraphy place settings or other calligraphy wedding stationery.
