A green, earthy wedding colour palette – this has to be one of my favourite colour schemes. And a very popular choice for 2016/17 weddings. Perfect for any time of year. Stick to lighter tones for spring and summer and deep earthy tones for autumn and winter.
I’ve picked out just a few ideas I’ve come across to create your green earthy wedding. Whether you’re looking to create a rustic and down to earth wedding or a more formal wedding, hopefully this will give you some inspiration.
The top photo shows a lovely iced wedding cake with rosemary and simple leaves decorating the tiers. The rough texture of the icing keeps it nice and simple and looks great with the green leaves. The earthy pale green and brown coloured bridesmaids dresses shown look lovely together. The flowing lightweight dresses add to the relaxed feel.
A lovely way to create a green colour scheme through your flowers is to use succulents amongst simple meadow flowers. Succulents have such a lovely variety of colours whilst sticking to the earthy green and brown tones. The top photo shows some within a bouquet. The photo above has some lovely examples of succulents being used as table decoration. It also shows them being used for some lovely corsages.
I like the idea of having pots of succulents as table decoration and I especially like this ‘V’ shaped container – presumably spelling out LOVE! The pot with the table number sticking is another great idea.
